Here is a 1972 Volkwagen Super Beetle I picked up at an auction in Northern Wisconsin in October of 2015. It needs an engine as she had a slight engine fire, but they caught it in the nick of time! No body damage from the fire except now there is surface rust in the engine compartment area, but thankfully, no warpage or burn-through. There is no other rust at all! The original owner's manual is in the glovebox and it was delivered to Mr. Rod MacDonald, Loma, Colorado, in April 1972. It looks like it spent its time in Colorado until probably 1980 or 1990. The original dealer made its last entry in the maintenance section dated 1970. I assume a brain fart since it is a 1972 model, so it must be 1980 or 1990.
